Thanks Ben. I went through a similar progression at my last school of 11 years! ATtending PTO meetings was vital for me. I retired 2 weeks ago, but I know the incoming teachers will have a strong base!

Ben, what thickness mats do you use under the climbing rope? Is it doubled up with another thin mat over the middle?

Love it! Those are a lot of steps 😂. I follow up the same cues from overhead throw. They already know : -hand behind the ear, -side to target, and -Step and throw. For batting I just adjust to bat: -Grip behind the ear, -Side to target, -Step and Swing. Kindergarten did great with Half cut noodles and gator balls.

I was hired as the new PE teacher 2 weeks ago and I walked into a PE office which looks like the equipment has just been thrown into the room for the past 3 years...NO organization what so ever. I'm overwhelmed and I don't know what half the stuff is for. I came to you for ideas on how to organize....Thank you for mentioning the PVC hurdles....I saw some of those in the office and was going to throw them away..LOL. I also have one of those huge pink balls...what do you use that for? Do you have a video for that? You will totally be my go to guy for PE ideas!!!

If a students legs are disproportionately light compared to their upper body it makes the curl up way harder even if they have a strong core.

You're giving very good pointers for kids but you didn't even pick up the rope until 9 minutes into a 17 minute video and then once you were showing the kids they are made into some sort of cartoon instead of just using regular video with overpowering music that's not needed. You can barely see how the kids are trying to do it which is what other kids learn from.

THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED!!! YOU PRESENTED A TOP-NOTCH LESSON EVERY SINGLE TIME!!! I teach 3rd grade, all subjects, at a small private school, and we have a talent show each year. Two years ago, I choreographed a jump rope routine for 3 of the girls and they were incredible! Now they are in 5th grade and asked for my help again. They brought a friend, tho, who is a beginner. You have just given me the tools I needed to bring her into the routine without making her feel inadequate next to their high speed tricks and so forth. THANK YOU!!!
